"Michael Dolley Medal" by Dr Tuukka Talvio (SNL)

In this short article, Dr Tuukka Talvio reflects on the recent medal production of NSI(NB) - the medal struck in 2025 to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Prof. Michael Dolley, one of the founding members of the Society. The author met Prof. Dolley in Finland in the 1970s, so that the article provides a unique personal insight on the artistic merit of the production. Dr Talvio is a former keeper of coins at the National Museum of Finland, a member of the Finnish Numismatic Society (Suomen Numismaatikko Liittosuomi) and Honorary Member of the British Numismatic Society.
